Having to bury yourself in past stories, think about synopses and the main crux of the book isn't easy when the actual writing of it is so far behind you. I had to skim through the paperback on my shelf to remember the ins and outs of the first book. I racked my brains for the twists and turns and how to best portray the second and it was hard.
These are the bits you never think about, the 'packaging the story for market' bits. It's hard to concentrate on one story whilst thinking about another. But I did it. I have a cover and a date: 20th August, I can't wait for that. I also have a title. You may have seen it; The Summer We Loved. I hope you like it. It's a kind of overlapping sequel to By My Side. It's Peter's story.
In my new book you can find out what went on in the past to come between them and how that affected him. I also have a giveaway on Goodreads coming up for By My Side. Keep a look out for that. Not much more to report this week; it's been a bit full on for the next release. Hopefully soon I will be able to share a cover with you. Or maybe even two...
