My name is Ann (or Annie) Cooper and I live in Orpington, Kent
How long have you been blogging and what is the name of your blog?
I started reviewing a couple of years ago and went to a Pippa Croft book launch in December 2014. At the launch I met several authors who encouraged me to start a blog - so I did! Annie's Book Corner. I started it in January 2015, so am still quite new to it all.
It is quite daunting when you start, isn't it? But you soon fall into a rhythm.
How do you fit all this reading into your life? (marriage/kids/job)
I'm single with a grown up son living at home. I'm a petsitter so work with animals, mainly dogs. It's only a part time job so the rest of my time is spent reading (and hanging around Facebook!)
Don't know what you mean! ;-)
What keeps you blogging?
Since I started, I have come to realise just how important bloggers are to authors. It is far more effective to have someone blow your trumpet, rather than blowing your own. Someone described it as a symbiotic relationship. The authors provide the books, and we bloggers provide the support. Works well!
It does.
What is your favourite genre?
I'm an unashamed contemporary romance girl! Although I do read some fantasy romance, time slip romance and suspense romance. I always used to be a mystery/thriller fan, but a good friend introduced me to Maeve Binchy and I discovered Nora Roberts. I switched instantly!
Yay!
Are you an e-reader or a paperback girl?
E-reader! I do have some paperbacks and even the odd hardback but, with over 800 books on my kindle, electronic is the only way for me - unless I want to buy a storage unit for the books!
I'm sure a lot of people on here can sympathise with that.
Hugh Jackman. I lived in Australia for a few years a long time ago. And the scene around the campfire in the film Australia hooked me!
Didn't need to think about that answer! Don't blame you. :-)
Do you have a favourite classic?
Turn of the Screw by Henry James. I first read it when I was 13 and we had just moved to a new house. I was home alone and so scared, I couldn't even turn the page, never mind a screw!
And finally, what are you reading at the moment?
Jenny Colgan's book - The Little Shop of Happy Ever After (and loving it!)
Thank you so much for coming on, Ann.
