And I'd hoped that was enough, but soon there were requests for more and more. You need a website and a blog, they said. Well, a website I could probably manage, maybe, perhaps, but a blog? What could I say? What on earth would anyone be interested in that passes through my mind? To be frank, my life isn't that interesting, well, not to me, anyway. So I created the website and to date I'm pretty happy with it. The blog, however, was a far more daunting challenge.
But, never one to hide from what scared me (except when it comes to spiders) I started one up. It has been three years now. It's my 3 year blogaversary and I've put something out almost every week since it began. I've had a lot of help from my friends, of course. I couldn't have managed it without them.
On many times I have despaired of finding something to say, but so far something always seems to comes up, whether it's a silly rant, a guest post idea or a writing related comment.
I never considered that I would be able to achieve anything like this. Never even thought I could find one thing to say. But I have. And if I can, I'm certain you can too, whatever challenge faces you. Just try. As my dear old dad used to say: What have you got to lose?
