Ten years of chatting to other mums, and occasionally dad's, in the afternoons. Of countless trips into school to drop off forgotten PE kits or homework (Yes, Youngest, I'm looking at you!) Rolling eyes with the ladies on reception, once again. All these people now disappear in a puff of smoke.
The high school runs are nameless, faceless drop-offs, with independent children bussing back home. No chatting, no huddling under brollies in the rain winging that they're still not out and we're getting wet. Nothing.
Silence at home is nice. I like my own company. (Somebody has to!) But that was when I saw other people. Real human beings. I'M ALONE!
So, orphaned now, I am turning to you, my surrogate family. SOMEBODY TALK TO ME!
LOL. Don't get me wrong, I have a husband and children who will not shut up the moment they get home. (My husband being the worst of them.) And my mum lives only one village over. But they're stuck with me. I'm talking about friends. So you're it now, my lovely social media family. You are now officially my circle of friends. Looks like I'm going to be on here for a while. ;-)
